Dr. Don McGann

Don McGann, DDS, graduated from the University of Pacific Dental School with OKU honors and created highly successful private practices in Laguna Niguel and Santa Ana, California. His orthodontic studies began with the US Dental Institute in 1977, an organization which he taught for from 1980-1984. After extensive independent study, attendance at many seminars offered by orthodontists, and case experience in a high volume clinical setting, Dr. McGann gained both a comprehensive knowledge of orthodontics and a clear understanding of the most effective methods of teaching to the general dentist.

Between editing the GP Ortho News, presenting lectures at ADA and AGD annual meetings, and educating over two thousand general practitioners through Progressive Orthodontic Seminars, Dr. McGann has established himself as the leader in GP orthodontic education. Dr. McGann holds several orthodontic patents and has been published in the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics, Asian Dentist, GP Ortho News, and numerous other journals. For the past several years, he has focused on the creation, development, and testing of the Individual Patient (IP) Appliance™ fixed appliance, which accounts for the individual patient's characteristics and treatment plan, allowing the dentist to design a custom appliance for each patient, as needed.
